Sometimes God lets you know the plans and dreams you had for your life were beneath you. When Max's disability first became a reality, when he was a toddler, it seemed as though life as we knew it was over and the challenges were daunting. As the years have rolled along we have discovered this new life had joys, pride and discoveries that helped us to realize dreaming new dreams can be a wonderful thing! We were all capable of more than we knew.
Max is the type of kid who is a kind, fun-loving friend who loves to pamper his service dog Irish, ride ATVs, swim, fish, boat, play baseball and soccer, make crafts and ride bikes. He loves life and lives in the moment. Summer camp is his favorite of all things and he attends three different camps each summer for about a week each. His independence and courageous outlook on life are a few reasons why we think Max is a great kid to know. But despite his disability and differences, most of all, Max is just like every other kid.
