Rebecca Christiansen
Founder/President
 
Rebecca Christiansen is the founder of Celebrate Differences.  She  is a graduate of Elmhurst College with a bachelors of science in nursing and business administration.   She is currently employed full time as a registered nurse.
 
After the birth of her fourth child Ryan, who has Down syndrome,  she got the idea to start Celebrate Differences in hopes of showing the world that individuals with disabilities are more the same than different than others.

Dr. Jacqueline DeBerard, D.N
Director
 
Dr. Jacquline DrBerard , D.N., has been a Naprapath in Oswego for the past ten years, specializing in family care, diet and nutrition.  She has been married for fifteen years to the love of her life and is the mother to two beautiful daughters.  Dr Jacqueline passion is to help improve health care for all, but mostly for children.
 
Donna Swanson
Director
 
Donna Swanson is the proud mother of Kamille 8 years old (born with Down syndrome) and Abigail, age 7.  She has her Masters in Social Work and currently works as a social worker at the Naperville Police Department.  She also founded the Simple Gifts Foundation, which helps children with special needs as well as struggling families.
 
Donna is looking forward to making a difference for the families and children with special needs in Kendall County.  She has worked and volunteered with adults and children with disabilities for many years as an advocate in the areas of vocation, recreation, accessing basic and other needs, special needs adoption, and making sure those with disabilities have the same opportunities to live, grow and have fun as others do.

Julie has an Associates in Applied Science degree and is well on her way to earning her Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration from Lewis University . She has undergone some major life changes over the last six years, having been diagnosed with a pituitary brain tumor in 2004. Today, having fully recovered from the removal of her tumor, Julie has dedicated her time to furthering her education and assisting others in need. She dreams of  helping others in reaching their fullest potential with  the same hopes and opportunities that she was blessed with.
